TUTORIAL BEGINS. To start off, what is an avatar? Well, an avatar (or 'icon') is this little picture under your username. They're generally a common size of 100x100.
Now, the first thing you're going to want to do is find an avatar that you like. Remember, they're representing you! You can find avatars at almost any graphic-related site. (ex. Photobucket, TinyPic, CreateBlog, etc.)
Once you find an avatar that you like, click on it! If you're using Photobucket (which is what I'm using as a demonstration), then a new page will show up, showing you the picture in it's actual size and a cluster of links in the bottom right-hand corner. >>Highlight and copy the URL under "Direct Link- Layout Pages".
Next, you'll need to go back to the home page of Of Paws and Wings. >>Then click on the "Profile" link at the top.
Your Profile page should show up. >>Then Click on "Modify Profile".
A whole series of things should show up. Scroll down until you reach: "Avatar". >>Change the drop-down bar to "None". >>Paste the URL into "Avatar URL". (A preview may appear above this.) >>Type 100 into "Avatar Width" and again in "Avatar Height".
Scroll down and save your changes. If you did the previous successfully, your image should now appear under your username. C:
